About Me

doing what I love

My informal training as a family historian began as a child.  My maternal grandmother and I would sit on her bed and pour through old photo albums. I was mesmerized as she told family tales and lamented that she knew nothing of her father or his family.  My grandmother's family mysteries coupled with my own cancer diagnosis, inspired me to begin formal genealogical research in 1996.  I am a thorough researcher who can think outside the box when problem solving and in the past two decades I have conducted well documented, genealogical research for my family, friends and clients.

In 2014 made the decision to take my passion for genealogy to the next level and successfully completed the Boston University Genealogical Research Program (OL16).  I am currently participating in the ProGen26 Study Group and regularly attend educational seminars and conferences in order to better my research and documentation skills as well as prepare for certification by the  Board for Certification of Genealogists.

I have been lucky enough to travel to several States, as well as outside the US (Canada and Germany), to conduct genealogical research. I have experience researching at numerous repositories, including the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, as well as local Family History Centers, the National Archives and Records Adminsitration (NARA), local and state courthouses, archives, cemeteries, churches and libraries.  I am a proud and contributing member of several genealogical and historical societies and would love to help you unlock your  past!
